How does it work?

Hydrolyzed Rice Protein has been shown to significantly increase total hair volume by up to 32%. It also adds natural shine and highlights to the hair. By increasing the ability of the hair and skin to bind moisture, it leads to increased flexibility and tensile strength. Hydrolyzed rice protein helps improve the strength and condition of hair, making it more manageable and less prone to breakage.

Does it strip the color from my hair?

Colors from dyed hair can be stripped by sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), sodium laureth sulfate (SLES), parabens (methylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben, etc.), alcohols (ethanol or propanol), and sodium chloride (salt). 
New Nordic uses only soaping ingredients (which will be part of any shampoo) that are gentle, namely Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate (derived from coconut, and is a mild
alternative to the harsh sulfates), Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate (also a mild
cleanser).

Is it required to use these washes along with the supplement for full results?

You can use the shampoo/ conditioner alone and treat your hair from the outside. If you are looking to boost your hair health, then taking Hair Volume tablets are an excellent way to nourish the hair from the inside ass well for optimal growth.


Can it be used long term or should I change washes after a few bottles?

Yes, it can be used long-term.


Why does it make my scalp more oily than my prior shampoo and conditioner?

It is possible that your scalp is adjusting to the change in shampoo/conditioner. If your scalp does not balance to its “normal” state within several uses, then maybe it is not the perfect fit for you.


Can it make my scalp itchy or dry?

It is possible that your scalp is adjusting to the change in shampoo/conditioner. If you feel the itchiness remains (after several uses) or is even getting worse, consider that you may have a hypersensitivity / allergy to one of the ingredients of the shampoo/conditioner, in which case you should stop using the product.
