See all FAQsWhy are some areas of my skin getting darker?
Skin produces pigment in response to inflammation (= tanning effect after sun exposure). Dark circles under the eyes can also come from inflammation from allergic conjunctivitis or frequent friction and/ or rubbing of the eye area (from adding an d removing make up). Reducing skin inflammation by avoiding rubbing and friction of the skin and reducing sun exposure can help. Or using plant extracts like licorice root, Indian gooseberry and mulberry leaf can help to naturally lighten the skin. They inhibit the enzymes that darken the skin and reduce skin inflammation (which otherwise promotes skin pigmentation).
How do I use it and for how long?
For daily use AM and PM. Apply to face and neck. More even and improved skin tone should be noticeable after 1-2 months.
How does Pigment Clear even and brighten my skin tone?
Indian gooseberry (Amla), also known as Amla is loaded with antioxidants and has been found to brighten the skin and lighten the complexion by regulating melanin production in the skin. Studies show that Amla helps lighten and even out skin tone and visibly reducing age-related signs of aging. Licorice root extract promotes an even skin tone by reducing dark spots and creating an even look to the skin. It works by not only reducing inflammation but also by inhibiting the enzyme that produces melanin (the skin pigment). For this reason, it is also being used as a treatment for post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Mulberry leaf extract helps calm stressed skin, which in turn reduces signs of environmental damage and fosters a brighter, more radiant skin tone.
